A departure, an Arrival and a Meeting

A brief report on our departure from Tenwek, arrival at Kijabe Hospital and meeting with Ron Sutherland. Before our departure from Tenwek we had a final dinner hosted by Dr Okorie and his wife Caroline. The Romicks and ourselves were treated to a gourmet meal and wonderful fellowship. It was a nice way to end our service at Tenwek.

We are now at visiting Kijabe Hospital which includes Bethany Christian Children’s hospital. PAACS colleague Dr Ron Sutherland and his wife have been working with Dr Dan Poenaru, full time peds surgeon here for the last 2 weeks. Ron is well known here for his multiple visits and great help with complex pediatric urology problems. They have kept Ron busy with lots of cases, teaching lectures and Christian fellowship with the PAACS residents. It is a great example of the impact a doc in practice can have with consistent short term trips to the same missionary hospital over here. Thank you again for your support and I hope to see many of you in Louisville at the Global Missions Health Conference in November.
